I’m Johnazia, but feel free to call me Nae!

I’m a proud mama to my beautiful 4-year-old daughter, Janayla who also answers to Nay (yes, we both go by it and somehow it works! LOL). Before anything else; before the books, the business, or the grind—I’m always a mother first. That title will forever be my greatest and most meaningful role.

I’m a national bestselling author with 51 published books and 11 Amazon #1 Bestsellers under my belt. I specialize in writing Urban Fiction, Urban Romance, and Erotica; the spicy kind (giggles)— sometimes, my pen just takes me there!

I published my first novel at 17, and that debut How Deep Is Your Love made its mark by cracking the Top Fifteen in African American Urban Fiction on Amazon in 2015. Just one year and 17 books later, I stepped out on faith and launched my publishing company, Johnazia Gray Presents, LLC, where I’ve had the pleasure to mentor and empower authors to thrive in the industry.

I’m also a proud student at Florida A&M University (FAMU), majoring in Journalism and Public Relations. My passion for PR comes from my desire to strategically market not just my books, but my brand and business to the world with purpose that will eventually keep me booked and busy, showcasing my books and sharing my journey to the world. 

Writing is my heart—it’s what I do even when I should be doing anything else (giggles). It’s not just my career—it’s 85% of my life. 

Over the past decade, I’ve grown in so many ways, but nothing compares to the evolution of my pen. 

I cherish the bonds and relationships I’ve built with my loyal readers and always keep space open for new ones to connect, vibe, and grow with me.
